I am a survivor of a Traumatic Brain Injury as a result of a fatal car accident. I now am a speaker on behalf of the Brain Injury Association at various Police Stations and Schools on the importance of seat belt safety and the hazards of distracted and impaired driving. In fact, The Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts has featured me in their latest documentary entitled “One Split Second.” I now speak in Massachusetts and around the United States about Brain Injuries and seat belt safety.

I believe my life was spared in order that I may teach others. It is my goal, my mission, to get my message out to young drivers in an attempt to reduce the number of crashed and fatalities. I have spoken with Marblehead, Medford, Swampscott High Schools, Chelsea and Everett Middle Schools, and MV Auto School in Harvervill to name a few. The reception is very positive and effective. I have also spoken at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, not so much about the risks of drinking and driving, but the fact that accidents occur and can drastically change a person’s life.

I can swing a big venue, but in the past it has been more meaningful to speak to an audience of 20-30 students or adults at a time. My presentation includes a PowerPoint Slide Show combined with photos, newspaper articles, and copies of my writings. I make a real impression.

Please learn more about my story and how my life is forever changed, starting with That Fateful Night.
